We will continue to expand our leading position in the world in the coming years. Our growth strategy is based on three pillars:

Growth in future markets
RHI want to grow especially in markets where we have been under-represented so far. In markets where customer industries grow more rapidly than elsewhere. These are above all the BRIC countries: Brazil, Russia, India and China. But also in North America. We want to and have to get closer to our customers: by expanding our sales network, but also by extending capacity at existing locations and new production sites.

Expansion of self-supply with raw materials
Raw materials are the key to our competitiveness because manufacturing refractory products is raw material intensive: raw materials account for more than 50% of the production costs. In terms of value, RHI currently has a self-supply level of a third for magnesia and dolomite. The objective is to increase this level to 80% in the future – through acquisitions of raw material resources outside China and by expanding our own existing resources.

Operational excellence
We will further adapt our production footprint according to customer demand and improve our cost structure due to lower logistic costs and lower working capital needs.
